Biography
Leif Edward Ottesen Kennair (born March 19, 1970 ) is a Norwegian psychologist and researcher. He is a professor of psychology and former head of the Department of Psychology at NTNU . He researches, among other things, on evolutionary psychology . Kennair became cand.psychol. in 1999 at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Bergen , Ph.D. at NTNU in 2008. He is further approved as a cognitive therapist and counselor in cognitive therapy and is a specialist in clinical adult psychology. His research interests are general evolutionary psychology and human nature, evolution of psychopathology , universal human nature versus adaptive individual differences, sexuality and partner choices, compulsive disorder and general anxiety disorder as well as metacognition . Kennair has repeatedly participated in various debates on television related to his subject, including the talk show First and last . In 2010, NRK sent the program series Hjernevask , where Kennair was one of several Norwegian researchers who were interviewed. In 2004 he published the books of Conception and Evolutionary Psychology (both translated into Danish in 2005) and has a number of other publications as co-author or contributor.
