Biography
Patrick A. Vogel is professor of adult clinical psychology at the Department of Psychology. He is also certified specialist in clinical psychology by the Norwegian Psychological Association. He does research on mental health problems, especially on the development of innovative treatment methods based on Cognitve Behavior Therapy and Metacognitive Therapy. He has participated in several projects for the treatment of depressions, personality disorders, and anxiety disorders. He has led several projects in the treatment of OCD. Recently he has completed two studies where videoconferance technologi has been successfully employed in the treatment of OCD. He is now leading a study where clinical psychology graduate students apply Metacognitive Therapy methods to treat social phobia in adults. In addition he is co-leader of a longitudinal project that is studying what is important in developing therapeutic skills among our studients.
