Biography
In 2014, Dr. Jakubik received the designation of Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) by the National Speakers Association; this is the highest international recognition for professional speakers. She is one of only fewer than 30 nurses in the world who have earned this designation. Dr. Jakubik is the president, chief learning officer, and founder of Nurse Builders, a nursing consulting firm specializing in pediatric nursing education and practice. She is also the founder of the Nurse Mentoring Institute, an organization dedicated to preparing, supporting, and developing nurses and nursing organizations in the art, science, and wonder of mentoring. In 2016, she was honored as the recipient of the 2016 Mentor Award by the American Organization of Nurse Executives for serving as a nurse in executive practice who is an exemplary model of supporting the professional development of her colleagues in the mentor role.
