Biography
I manage our vertebrate paleontology volunteer program. This program is designed to allow community members, medical students, graduate students, and undergraduates to volunteer their time and work alongside OSU-CHS paleontologists in the OSU-CHS research labs. I provide training and instruction over lab safety, lab techniques, and concepts in paleontological research.
Research Interest
My research stems from an interest in vertebrate paleontology, ecology and stable isotope analysis. My research focuses include reconstructing Quaternary environments and understanding how medium-to large-bodied mammalian communities responded to changing climatic conditions like increasing aridity. I also utilize the same stable isotope analyses to examine changes within the archeological record. Current projects include understanding how climate change influenced camelid husbandry in Peru and investigating maize consumption in Tennessee using white-tailed deer.
