Biography

Dr. Robert Baylis graduated from Stanford University and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California at San Francisco. He received his fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery in New York where he also served as the assistant team physician for the New York Mets. In 2003, Dr. Baylis was one of six physicians chosen to receive the Florida CHOICE Award recognizing outstanding workers’ compensation physicians. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and he is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Baylis specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, shoulder replacement, and arthroscopic ACL reconstruction.
