Biography
Mr. Henson joined Pace Analytical Services in 2010 with more than 25 years of experience at all levels of management and responsibility in environmental, analytical and industrial laboratories. Over the years he has gained an extensive and detailed understanding of regulatory and certification requirements of most federal and state accreditation agencies with regards to the environmental laboratory industry, as well the extensive knowledge of all facets production laboratory operations that enables Pace laboratories to best meet those requirements. He brings to Pace expertise in many areas including Quality Assurance systems development, technical writing, data validation, software implementation, data integrity investigations, technical presentations, analytical instrumentation setup and methods development. As Quality Director, he is responsible for managing the implementation, monitoring, and development of Pace Analytical’s Environmental Quality Programs as well as directing or conducting corporate quality system audits for all Pace environmental laboratories. Mr. Henson routinely reviews quality assurance project plans (QAPPs) related to RFPs, MSAs or other business development opportunities for the Pace network and provides input as appropriate. In addition, he provides team leadership, guidance, and mentoring to Pace Quality Managers at all local environmental labs, and performs due diligence in support of quality for laboratory acquisitions. Mr. Henson received his B.S. Degree in Chemistry from the University of California in 1986. He has formerly held the positions of laboratory director, technical director, operations manager, technical director and various section management positions. He also possesses extensive bench level instrumental analysis experience, utilizing various analytical techniques and methods for programs such as CWA, NPDES, RCRA and for technically demanding federal programs such as EPA CLP, DOE, DOD, AFCEE and USACE.
