Biography
Michael Phillips joined Pacific Biosciences in 2005 to direct development of the company’s technology. He has more than 20 years of experience in diverse leadership and management roles spanning R&D, test, manufacturing operations, and service support at Applied Biosystems. Mr. Phillips was in charge of developing some of Applied Biosystems’ most critical products within the company’s genetic analysis, real-time PCR, and microarray R&D business groups, and managed a diverse team that drove new products to successful introduction. His previous experience includes working in the Immunoassay R&D group at Hyland Laboratories and the National Marine Fisheries Service.
Research Interest
Mr. Phillips holds a B.S. in Bacteriology from U.C. Davis.
