Biography
Larry Maples is Associate Laboratory Director for Operations at PNNL. In this role, he provides overall leadership for the capability stewardship and programmatic execution functions within the Operational Systems Directorate (OSD), and is accountable for the integration of OSD with all other PNNL Support and Research and Development organizations to achieve the PNNL mission. Larry supports a broad range of strategic and tactical performance requirements including management of all facilities and infrastructure; environment, health, safety, and security; project management; and nuclear operations and assurance programs. The directorate Larry oversees is comprised of nearly 800 technical and support staff. Prior to his role as ALD, Larry served as the Chief Operating Officer for OSD, and was the Director of Facilities and Operations for seven years at PNNL. Larry has over 25 years of progressive leadership and management experience in operations.
