Biography
Dr. Abbott Klafter is an internist and hospitalist at Northwest Hospital. Dr. Abbott Klafter earned his bachelor’s degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts. After several years working in international health systems research, he earned his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. During medical school he also earned an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore. He came to the University of Washington as an intern and resident in internal Medicine. During residency he was part of the H.I.V. primary care track. Following residency, Dr. Abbott Klafter worked as a hospitalist for two years at Bonner General Health, a critical access hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho. Following this, he returned to UW in his current position as a hospitalist at Northwest Hospital. Dr. Abbott Klafter is Board Certified in internal medicine and as an H.I.V. specialist.
