Heyman, Patrick

Biography

 Patrick was the first full time faculty member in the new School of Nursing and helped to establish the program. In addition to his teaching duties, he has been active in the Palm Healthcare Foundation’s preceptor and online clinical placement initiatives, helping to ensure the quality of nursing and other healthcare workers in South Florida. Prior to coming to PBA, Patrick worked as a nurse practitioner in a private practice. He put himself through school by teaching Latin and ballroom dance lessons, where he met his wife. Before coming to the health professions, he worked in the travel industry, developing educational trips for senior citizens and automating internal processes. He is the son of missionaries and has lived in Liberia, Costa Rica, and Uruguay. He and his wife reside in Wellington and have two sons.
