Biography
Dr. Masella came to Palm Beach County in 1975 to begin nursing practice at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida. Over a 20 year period she served in various positions related to clinical and education. Dr. Masella has presented at several nursing conferences on the topics of caring philosophy in nursing and nursing student retention. She has published one clinical monograph related to the at-risk student in nursing education, with special interest in individualized teaching plans, learning groups, student and peer mentoring. She and her husband of 40 years reside in Boynton Beach. They have two sons and three grandchildren. The Masella’s are members of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida, where they serve as extraordinary ministers of holy Communion. They also distribute communion weekly to hospitalized individuals at Bethesda Memorial Hospital.
