Turner, Leslie

Biography

 Dr. Turner came to PBA in August 2008, became interim dean of the Rinker School of Business in June 2010, and was appointed dean in August 2013. Prior to coming to PBA, Dr. Turner was professor and chair of the department of accountancy at Northern Kentucky University for four years, and he taught at NKU for 16 years before becoming chair. He also has taught at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Dr. Turner has published 18 peer reviewed articles in accounting journals such as Accounting Horizons, Journal of Accounting Case Studies, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Management Accounting Research, and Strategic Finance.  Two of his articles were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Institute of Management Accountants. In addition, he has made several presentations at national and state accounting conferences.  Dr. Turner is the coauthor of an accounting information systems textbook published by John Wiley and Sons. He is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Manager, and is a member of the American Accounting Association, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. He and his wife Theresa are active members of West Pines Baptist Church in Greenacres.
