Biography
Dr. Walsh is a clinical nurse specialist in psychiatric mental health, and has a broad range of teaching and mentoring baccalaureate as well as doctoral nursing students in the tri state area of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her research focused on the socialization of the new graduate nurse and internship programs. For the past five years she has been in the clinical area of behavioral health, providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy in a hospital-based outpatient facility. Dr. Walsh is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. In April, the Society of Advance Practice Psychiatric Nurses of New Jersey bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award to Maureen. She and her husband, Jack Walsh have ten children and fifteen grandchildren. They recently moved here from Easton, Pennsylvania. They are active members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens.
