Biography
Olga Rosito, Ph.D., is a bilingual (English/Russian) licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in working with older, traumatized individuals with mood and cognitive issues and their caregivers. Dr. Rosito received her Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science and Psychology from San Jose State University and went on to complete her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University. Dr. Rosito conducted research on the impact of bereavement in family caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in Los Angeles, providing a wide range of services to veterans with PTSD and other mood disorders. Dr. Rosito has received specialized training in treating sleep disorders and utilizing mindfulness based approaches in treatment of trauma. Dr. Rosito completed her postdoctoral training at the chemical dependency clinic at Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco.
Research Interest
Evidence-based treatment of trauma in veterans and older adults and interaction of trauma and cognitive dysfunction, utilization of mindfulness based practices and Acceptance Commitment Therapy in the treatment of mood and sleep disorders, end-of-life and caregiver issues, impact of trauma in late life, and relationship between cognitive dysfunction, substance use, and past traumatic experiences in the aged.
