Biography
Yajaira S. Curiel, M.A., MFT, is adjunct faculty at Palo Alto University and currently a doctoral candidate in Couple and Family Therapy at Drexel University. Ms. Curiel received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse university and her Bachelors of Science from San Diego State UniversityIn Child and Family Development. Ms. Curiel’s clinical experience has focused on providing culturally attuned, high quality, individual, couple and family therapy to marginalized populations around the areas of trauma, connection, intimacy, loss and having meaningful, fulfilling relationships. Ms. Curiel’s clinical experience also includes providing bilingual family therapy services to Latino populations. She has worked at agencies such as Congreso de Latinos Unidos, Inc,, and Intercultural Family Services in Philadelphia and St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY. Ms. Curiel has presented at national and international conferences in the field of Family Therapy.
