Biography
Raj Vattikuti, MS, founded Michigan-based Covansys, an information technology company listed on the NASDAQ and sold to Computer Sciences Corporation in 2007. Mr. Vattikuti also founded Altimetrik, a company focusing on business innovation by leveraging mobiletechnologies. He and his wife, Padma, founded the Vattikuti Foundation in 1997 in Michigan to serve the southeast Michigan community and other parts of the world, particularly India. The foundation is focused on and committed to the charitable advancement of multidisciplinary robotic surgery, poverty alleviation, and development programs. It supported the creation of the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospitals and the Vattikuti Digital Breast Diagnostic Center at Beaumont Hospitals. Mr. Vattikuti holds an MS in electrical and computer engineering from Wayne State University and a BS in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, India. He also holds an honorary doctorate in business administration from Bryant College.
