Bob Dowd

Biography

Mr. Bob Dowd serves as Senior Vice President of Revenue Services at Pathology, Inc and served as its Chief Information Officer. Mr. Dowd has extensive experience in the healthcare field, with 26 years in the clinical laboratory field and an additional 10 years in large medical/dental facilities. His experience includes leadership roles in Accounts Receivable and Revenue Services for Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, and for 10 years, in Information Technology as the Chief Information Officer for Sonora Quest Laboratories, the largest clinical laboratory in Arizona. From February 2010 to January 2011, he served as Chief Information Officer for MEDLAB/Laboratory Partners based in Cincinnati, Ohio. As Co-Chair of the Clinical/Technical Committee for the Arizona Health-e Connection, Mr. Dowd was tasked with the mission to have all healthcare providers in Arizona using electronic medical records within the next 5 years. Mr. Dowd was honored as one of Computerworld's 2007 Premier 100 IT Leaders. He was also named the 2007 IT Practitioner of the Year by the Arizona Chapter of the Society of Information Management. Mr. Dowd was President of the Arizona Chapter of HIMSS from 2008 through 2009. He has been Secretary for the CSOHIMSS Chapter since June 2011. Mr. Dowd has a BA in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University.
