Biography
I come to work each day knowing that I can make a difference in the quickly changing world in which we live. Preparing design documents that improve our transportation, public utilities, health, safety, and the welfare of our communities is gratifying and motivating. For five summers while attending college I worked for a large earthwork/utility contractor in Alaska. I was classified as a pipe laborer and installed public water/sewer utility systems. I quickly learned how to read and interpret plans and specifications at a very young age and was often teased by the crew that I should become an engineer. I liked math, numbers, and challenges, so with the firsthand experience on the construction side, I realized that I wanted to be the one preparing the construction drawings.
