Biography
Dr. Francis X. McGowan, is employed as Professor of Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care at The University of Pennsylvania Health System. He received his MD from Duke University School of Medicine, 1983. His research interests include: Mechanisms of infant myocardial injury and protection, Mitochondrial mechanisms of myocardial injury; cardiac mitochondrial function, damage, and biogenesis, Inflammatory mechanisms in ischemia-reperfusion and cardiopulmonary bypass, Intravenous oxygen delivery
