Biography

Mary Beth Iwanski is senior vice president at People Inc., a leading not-for-profit health and human services agency providing programs and services to more than 12,500 people with special needs, their families, and seniors throughout Western New York. With an operating budget of $143 million and 3,860 employees, People Inc. has assisted individuals to achieve greater degrees of independence and productivity since 1971. Iwanski joined People Inc. in 1977 as a relief counselor and since then has risen through the ranks to serve in various residential and day services management positions. She spent 20 years as an administrator for the Orchard Park Day Program. As senior vice president, Iwanski is responsible for the residential, day/vocational and behavior programs. Iwanski is active in the local community and is a long standing member of the New York State Day Providers Association and the Developmental Disabilities Alliance of Western New York’s Adult Day Committee. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary/special education from Buffalo State College.
