Biography

Mr. James Corbett, also known as Jim, has been the Executive Vice President and President of Discovery & Analytical Solutions at PerkinElmer Inc. since October 3, 2016. Mr. Corbett served as President of Human Health at PerkinElmer Inc. since March 2014 until October 3, 2016 and served as its Senior Vice President since February 2012 until September 2016. He served as the President of Diagnostics at PerkinElmer, Inc. since May 2010. He served as President of Diagnostics/Life Sciences & Technology at PerkinElmer, Inc. since May 2013. He served as President of Human Health at PerkinElmer Informatics, Inc. until September 2016. He served as the President of ViaCell Reproductive Health of ViaCell, Inc. since April 10, 2006. He served as the President of ViaCord, Inc. since November 2007. He has over 28 years of healthcare experience and extensive knowledge in developing and implementing strategic plans to drive commercial growth in rapidly growing healthcare products, integrating new products and businesses as growth strategies and successfully negotiating partnerships with industry leaders. He held a variety of sales and marketing positions at Abbott Laboratories Inc., including Worldwide Marketing Manager for Abbott Diagnostics Immunoassay Systems and Regional Manager of Abbott Diagnostics. He served as Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at BioChem Immunosystems, a division of BioChem Pharma. He served as Vice President and General Manager of the Americas for the Diagnostics business unit since November 2007. He co-founded CADx Systems and served as its Executive Vice President. He served as the Chief Commercial Officer of iCAD, Inc. Mr. Corbett received a B.Sc. in Business from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
