Biography
Dr. Karen Madden, Ph.D. has been President at PerkinElmer Informatics, Inc. since April 2014. Dr. Madden served as Senior Director of Business Development in Emerging Technologies at PerkinElmer Inc. She served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & External Research at VisEn Medical Inc. She served as Head of Business & Corporate Development at VisEn Medical, Inc. Prior to joining VisEn, she served as Vice President of Kendall Strategies, a healthcare business-strategy consulting firm located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. At Kendall, her clients included small start-up biotechnology companies as well as multinational pharmaceutical companies. Before Kendall, she worked as a consultant to Structural Genomix. She has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rutgers University where she determined the X-ray crystallographic structures of viruses and viral proteins.
