Dr. Steven Slaton

Biography

Dr. Steve is a 1990 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He has served, for two terms, as the president of the Louisiana State Board of Veterinary Medicine and has remained a member since 2007. Dr. Steve’s special interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. He is a lifelong resident of New Orleans, and now lives in Covington with his wife, Robbie, and three children Steven, Samantha, and Spencer. He also shares living quarters with numerous animals, including dogs, cats, horses, pot-belly pigs, and rabbits. He is very interested in the thoroughbred industry, raising and racing his own horses. In addition, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing. Dr. Steve is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association.
