Anja Oosting

Biography

 Anja joined PetroStrat in August 2013 . She has nearly 13 years’ experience in petroleum industry consulting. Her PhD was a collaboration between Utrecht University in the Netherlands and James Cook University in Australia and was completed in 2004. The project entailed palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic changes in Australia during the Early Cretaceous, correlating palynological and geochemical data from Australian sequences with ammonite calibrated Tethyan and Boreal sections. Her principal expertise is the Cretaceous from the North Sea, Australia and Africa and she is involved in studies on Early Cretaceous sequences from the Middle East, Africa and northern Europe. During her career Anja has participated in single and multi-well studies on the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Cenozoic from various regions, including the North Sea (UK, Norwegian, Dutch & Danish sectors), West of Shetlands, Faroe Islands, Ireland, Canada, Greenland, Africa (Angola/Cabinda, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Mauretania, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania), South America (Brazil), Falkland Islands, Australia and the Gulf of Mexico.
