Biography
Frédéric de Ville de Goyet joined PetroStrat in July 2009 having completed a M.Sc. in Palaeopalynology at Liège University (Belgium), in 2006. This involved an integrated multidisciplinary study of the palynology, palaeoenvironments, and detailed biostratigraphy of the megaspores of the Givetian (Middle Devonian) outcrops in Belgium, and from a borehole in Libya; some of this work has been published. Since joining PetroStrat, Frédéric has worked on Cretaceous and Tertiary well material from West Africa (Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Benin, Liberia), East Africa (Tanzania), South America (French Guinea, Brazil) and on North Sea and Gulf of Mexico Tertiary. Fully certified for offshore work, he has now completed numerous assignments offshore in West Africa (Ghana, Liberia, Benin) and in the North Sea (UK sector).
