Raymond Svider

Biography

Mr. Raymond Svider has been a Co-Chairman of BC Partners since December 2008 and also has been its Managing Partner since 2003. Mr. Svider serves as a Co-Chairman and Managing Partner of BC European Capital IX, L.P. He has been an Executive Chairman of PetSmart, Inc. since March 11, 2015. He joined BC Partners in 1992 in Paris before moving to London in 2000 to lead its investments in the technology and telecommunications industries. Over the years, he has participated in or led a variety of investments including Tubesca, Nutreco, UTL, Neopost, Polyconcept, Neuf Telecom, Unity Media/Tele Columbus, Office Depot Inc., ATI Enterprises and MultiPlan, Inc. Prior to joining BC Partners, he worked in investment banking at Wasserstein Perella & Co., Inc., where he served as a Vice President and an Acting Head of the French business, specializing in arranging mergers and acquisitions. Over the years, he has participated and led investments in a number of sectors including TMT, healthcare, industrials, business services, consumer and retail. He also served as the Local Representative for a European mezzanine fund. He was also employed at Morgan Stanley and The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. He has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intelsat Global Holdings S.A. since July 2011. He serves as the Chairman of Accudyne Industries. He served as the Chairman of PetSmart, Inc. from March 11, 2015 to August 10, 2017. He served as the Chairman of Intelsat Investments S.A. from May 2008 to April 1, 2013 and served as its Vice Chairman until May 2008. He served as the Chairman of Intelsat S.A. since July 2011. He serves as Board Member of Suddenlink and Teneo Global. He has been a Director of Intelsat Investments S.A. since February 2008 and Intelsat S.A. since July 2011. He serves as a Director of Cequel Communications Holdings I, LLC, ATI Enterprises, Inc. He serves as a Director of Intelsat Corporation. He has been a Director of Altice USA, Inc since June 22, 2017. He served as an Independent Director of Office Depot, Inc. from June 2009 to November 5, 2013. He served as a Director of MultiPlan, Inc, Nutreco, UTL, Chantemur and Neuf Cegetel. He served as a Director of Neopost S.A. from September 1997 to July 8, 2008, Unitymedia GmbH and Unitymedia Hessen GmbH & Co. KG since 2005. He serves as an Advisory Board Member of Allele Fund. He serves on the Board of Mount Sinai Children’s Hospital. Mr. Svider speaks French and English. Mr. Svider holds M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and Master of Science in Engineering from both Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications in France. Mr. Svider holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications.
