Biography
Mr. Robert N. Burt is an Executive Limited Partner and Advisor at Pfingsten Partners, L.L.C. Mr. Burt served as the President, Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of FMC Corporation. Mr. Burt served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of FMC Corp., from 1991 to November 2001; as the President from March 1990 through October 1993 and as an Executive Vice President from September 1988 through March 1990. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer at FMC Technologies Inc. and its Chairman from June 2001 until December 2001. Mr. Burt was a General Manager at FMC's Defense Systems Group from 1983 to September 1988. He also took over FMC's agricultural products in 1976 and was elected as a Vice President in 1978. Mr. Burt is a Vice Chairman and Trustee at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has been a Director at Pfizer Inc. since June 2000 and also serves as the Chair of Audit Committee. Mr. Burt is a Member of the Business Roundtable's Policy and Planning Committee and a Vice Chairman of the Illinois Business Roundtable. He also serves as a Director at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Evanston Hospital Corp., and Chicago Public Education Fund. Mr. Burt is a Director and Member of the Executive Committee at Chemical Manufacturers Association. He served as a Director at Janus Capital Group Inc. from March 2003 until October 25, 2005; Phelps Dodge Corp., from 1993 to May 26, 2006; and Warner-Lambert Company LLC since 1995. Mr. Burt received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
