John R. Simon

Biography

Mr. John R. Simon has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel of PG&E Corporation since March 1, 2017. Mr. Simon has more than 20 years of experience in the human resources and legal sectors and oversees all areas related to PG&E's workforce attraction, development and retention. He leads the PG&E's efforts to engage and grow talented, motivated and energized employees committed to delivering exceptional service and value to PG&E's customers and shareholders. Mr. Simon served as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Services and Human Resources at PG&E Corporation since August 17, 2015 until March 1, 2017. Mr. Simon served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at PG&E Corporation from April 16, 2007 to August 16, 2015 and Pacific Gas and Electric Company from April 16, 2007 to August 16, 2015. Prior to joining PG&E, he held several HR and legal leadership positions at TeleTech Holdings, Inc., a Denver-based provider of customer care services and solutions with 47,000 employees in 17 countries. He served as Senior Vice President for Human Capital at TeleTech Holdings Inc. since July 2001 and its Executive Vice President of Global Human Capital from October 2005 to April 13, 2007. He also served as a partner at Hallenbeck, Lascell, LLP in Rochester, New York, where he represented several academic institutions and Fortune 500 companies in complex litigation. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California. Mr. Simon received a Bachelor's Degree from Colorado College and a law degree from Georgetown University.
