Biography

Mr. Michael C. Crews, also known as Mike, has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at PQ Group Holdings Inc., since August 2015. Mr. Crews has been Chief Financial Officer of PQ Corporation since August 01, 2015. Mr. Crews served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Peabody Energy Corporation from June 20, 2008 to July 2015. Mr. Crews served as Vice President of Analysis, Performance Assessment & Planning at Peabody Energy Corp., from December 21, 2006 to June 2008. He served as a Vice President of Operational Planning of Peabody Energy. Mr. Crews has experience there included corporate accounting, financial reporting, tax and treasury, investor relations, corporate communications and merger and acquisition activities. Mr. Crews has 20 years of financial experience and a strong background with Peabody. He joined Peabody in 1998, as a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting. He served as Assistant Controller - Corporate at Peabody Energy Corp. and served as its Director of Planning. He served as an Assistant Treasurer of Peabody Energy. Prior to Peabody, he served for three years in financial positions with MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. and was six years at KPMG Peat Marwick in St. Louis. He serves as a Director of Peabody Energy Australia PCI Pty Ltd. He has been Member of the Board of Directors at MacArthur Coal Ltd. since October 26, 2011. Mr. Crews was recognized as Chief Financial Officer of the Year by the St. Louis Business Journal and the Top Performing Chief Financial Officer by Metals+ Mining sell-side Analysts, Institutional Investor magazine. Mr. Crews holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accountancy from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
