Biography

Ed Orton is a seasoned pharmaceutical scientist with over 20 years experience in discovery stage formulations, preformulation and advanced drug delivery technologies. He is an experienced manager and possesses a breadth of knowledge in research and development that enables him to effectively communicate in crucial cross-functional project settings. Ed holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Washington and subsequently worked as a Staff Scientist II at The Laboratory of Chemical Biodynamics at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory for 8 years prior to joining Rhone-Poulenc Pharma where he weathered numerous M&A events. Ed exited from Sanofi Pharmaceuticals in 2012 as leader of the Discovery Pharmaceutics team.
