Biography
Dr.Jeetain Mittal, Associate Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has been appointed as the Dolores T. and William E. Schiesser Faculty Fellow. He joined Lehigh University in 2009, after a two year postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in the Laboratory of Chemical Physics. He received his PhD from the University of Texas, Austin (2007), his M. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2002) and his B. Tech. degree from Punjab Technical University (2000), all in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Mittal’s research group focuses on several interdisciplinary research problems in biophysics and soft matter including intrinsically disordered proteins, macromolecular crowding, material design by DNA-mediated interactions, and molecular basis of bio-sensing enabled by nanoscale devices."
