Francesco Granata

Biography

 currently Senior Advisor at Warburg Pincus, a leading private equity firm focused on growth investing. He is an accomplished healthcare executive, with more than 35 years of experience in the international pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Before joining Warburg Pincus, Dr. Granata held senior management positions at Pfizer Inc. where he was President of the Northern Europe region; Schering-Plough, where he served as Group Vice President and President for the Europe and Canada region; and most recently at Biogen, Inc., where he was Executive Vice President of Global Commercial Operations, with responsibility for worldwide Commercial Operations and Medical Affairs. Dr. Granata is also Chairman of the Board of Circassia, a UK specialty biopharmaceutical company publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange, and Chairman of BSP Pharmaceuticals, a specialized contract manufacturer focused on oncology and high potency injectables.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Italfarmaco, one of Italy’s leading international pharmaceutical groups
