Biography
Lori Johnston is chief information officer at ProMedica. She is responsible for all aspects of information technology throughout the health system. Critical to her role is overseeing the implementation of Epic, which began in 2015 and will extend through 2017. Prior to her current role, Johnston served as president and chief administrative officer for ProMedica Physicians and oversaw the recruitment and employment of more than 800 physicians and advanced practice providers, operations of approximately 150 medical practice facilities and provider strategic planning. She has worked at ProMedica since 1996 in various capacities, including chief financial officer/chief operating officer of ProMedica St. Luke’s Hospital, senior vice president of ProMedica Continuum Services and senior vice president of finance. Johnston earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration at the University of Toledo and a Master of Business Administration at The Ohio State University. She is active in the community serving on the boards of Toledo Mud Hens and Walleye sports teams and St. Ursula Academy as well as the Advisory Council for the Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio.
