Biography
Jon Lauckner is the CTO of General Motors and the president of General Motors Ventures, LLC. Through these roles, Jon is responsible for leading GM’s Global Research and Development organization and making venture capital investments in startup companies that are developing next-generation automotive technology. During his 30+ year tenure at GM, he has been heavily involved in many areas of the company, including product development, product engineering, powertrain engineering, product planning and program management. He also worked in international assignments for GM in South America and Europe for 13 years. Jon received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in management from Stanford University, where he was a Sloan Fellow, and attended the Harvard Senior Executive program.
