Biography

 Mr. Ronald L. Havner Jr., also known as Ron, has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Public Storage Inc. since August 2011 and November 7, 2002 respectively and serves as its Trustee since November 2002. Mr. Havner serves as a Senior Advisor at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Ltd. He serves as a Treasurer of National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts Inc. He served as a Vice President at Public Storage since its inception in 1989, Chief Financial Officer since November 1991 and an Officer in 1986. He served as the President at Public Storage from July 1, 2005 to July 1, 2016. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Public Storage Properties X Inc. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Public Storage Properties XII Inc. Mr. Havner served as the Chief Financial Officer at Storage Properties, Inc. since November 1991 and served as its Senior Vice President. He also served as Vice President at Storage Properties, Inc. since 1989. Mr. Havner served as the Chief Executive Officer at PS Business Parks Inc. from December 1996 to August 13, 2003 and also served as its President from March 1998 to August 13, 2003 and served as its Vice President. He served as a Vice President of certain other REITs affiliated with Public Storage Inc., from November 1991 to December 1996. Prior to this, he was in the Audit Practice at Arthur Andersen & Company. He has been the Chairman of PS Business Parks Inc. since March 1998. Mr. Havner serves as the Co-Chairman of GF Acquisition Corp. He served as the Chairman of the Board of PS Business Parks Inc. from December 1996 to March 1998. He served as the Chairman of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). He served as Vice Chairman of Public Storage Inc since November 07, 2002. He has been a Director of Huntington Hospital Inc. since January 1, 2017. He has been an Independent Director of California Resources Corporation since December 1, 2014 and Avalonbay Communities, Inc. since September 16, 2014. He has been a Director of Public Storage Inc. since November 7, 2002. He serves as a Director of Business Machine Security Inc. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts Inc. Mr. Havner served as a Director of Mobile Services Group Inc. since 2000. He served as a Director of General Finance Corporation from October 1, 2008 to May 4, 2010. He served as a Director of Union Bank NA until January 28, 2009. He served as a Director of Mobile Storage Group Inc. since March 2002. He served as a Director of BPP Liquidating Trust since December 2000. He served as a Director of MUFG Americas Holdings Corporation (also known as UnionBanCal Corp) and Union Bank of California N.a. from October 27, 2004 to January 28, 2009. He served as a Director of MUFG Union Bank, N.A. (Union Bank of California NA) from October 27, 2004 to January 28, 2009. He is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts Inc., and the Urban Land Institute. He is a Member of NYU REIT Center Board of Advisors. Mr. Havner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1979.
