Biography

Mr. A. V. Jones, Jr. is a Co-Founder and Senior Advisor at Quantum Energy Partners. Mr. Jones is a Co-Founder of Quantum Energy Partners V, L.P. He is active in the Quantum Energy Partners’s deal sourcing and due diligence processes and serves as a sounding board for technical, strategic, and operational issues. Mr. Jones is also actively involved with Quantum Energy Partners’s portfolio companies who utilize his vast network of industry relationships as well as his significant technical and operational skills honed from almost 50 years of actively investing in track record of seeding, investing in, and operating middle market businesses in a variety of industries, including oil and gas production; specialty manufacturing; funeral home facilities and operations; real estate; and water purification. and managing energy companies. He serves as an ambassador for Quantum in the energy community and provides a sounding board for Quantum’s investment team to discuss technical, operational and strategic issues. Prior to co-founding Quantum in 1998, Mr. Jones made a number of successful venture capital investments in the energy industry, including EnerVest Management Partners, Ltd., Globex Energy, Inc., JM Petroleum Corporation, Taurus Energy Corp., and BC Development, LP. Additionally, he has decades of experience owning and operating his own exploration and production companies, including Jones Company, Ltd. and JHJ Exploration, Ltd. He serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Alturus Strategic Capital Partners. He served as Vice Chairman of Globex Energy, Inc. Mr. Jones serves as a Director of several Quantum portfolio companies, including Saxet Energy, Ltd. and Highpine Oil & Gas Ltd. He served on the Board of Globex Energy, Inc. He serves in a number of leadership positions within the energy industry. Mr. Jones was the Chairman and Treasurer of the the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and the President of the National Stripper Well Association and the West Central Texas Oil and Gas Association. He was a Director of the American Petroleum Institute. He holds a B.S. degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma.
