Biography
James H. Erlinger III was appointed Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Quintiles in January 2013 and serves on its Executive Committee. Jim is responsible for Quintiles’ global legal operations. Jim’s portfolio of expertise includes corporate law, healthcare, outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, commercial law, capital formation and finance, and technology-related transactions. Prior to Quintiles, Jim was a partner in the St. Louis, Missouri, law firm of Bryan Cave, where he served as a member of its Executive Committee and a Client Service Group leader. Throughout his 27 year career there, he successfully represented clients in a wide range of industries, including professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, information technology, retail consumer products, life sciences, construction, banking and natural resources. Jim earned an honors degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He earned his JD with distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jim is also a Certified Public Accountant.
