Biography
"Lauren Ermann, Ph.D. (Virginia Tech) is an Assistant Professor in the department of Counselor Education at Radford University. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate in Gerontology from Virginia Tech. Her research efforts have focused on older adults (specifically older women), addictions (Alcoholics Anonymous), chronic pain (care and coping strategies), and mild cognitive impairment (coping mechanisms for relatives). Dr. Ermann teaches first year foundation courses related to counseling theory and techniques, legal and ethical issues in counseling, assessment and appraisal in counseling, and individual practicum. She also serves as the assessment coordinator for the department."
