Peter Laport

Biography

Peter Laport is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ready Pac Foods, Inc., the premier producer of convenience fresh foods and fresh-cut produce. He is responsible for oversight of all operating units: Plants; Warehousing; Quality and Food Safety; Environmental Health & Safety; Engineering; and Maintenance. With about 85 percent of the Ready Pac Foods Associate (employee) population under his purview, these functions drive the business and are increasingly important with greater demand and future operations. Laport joined Ready Pac Foods in 2014 as Chief Supply Chain Officer, responsible for company-wide, end-to-end operations leadership of fresh food, short shelf-life, 24/7 supply chain, and was appointed to the COO role in 2017. Prior to Ready Pac Foods, Laport was Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing for Dunkin Brands, (Dunkin Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream) for 6 years. His strategic leadership supported 18,000 store locations in 60 countries, focusing on innovation, commercialization, efficient manufacturing and supply chain optimization. Responsibilities also included global quality assurance, regulatory & nutrition management and food safety systems in restaurants throughout the world. Prior to Dunkin Brands, he held various supply chain leadership roles at Nestlé USA at locations throughout the United States. He also led Quality Systems for PepsiCo. Laport completed his industrial engineering degree from Purdue University, and completed his MBA at Johns Hopkins University, Carey School of Business.
