Leonard Schleifer

Biography

Dr. Leonard S. Schleifer, M.D., Ph.D. founded Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 1988 and has been President and Chief Executive Officer since 1988. Dr. Schleifer served as the Chairman of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals from 1990 to 1994. In 1992, he was appointed Clinical Professor of Neurology at the Cornell University Medical School and from 1984 to 1988 he served as an Assistant Professor of the Cornell University Medical School in the Departments of Neurology and Neurobiology. Dr. Schleifer has been an Executive Director of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since 1988. He serves as a Director of Biotechnology Industry Organization. He is a licensed physician and is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Schleifer received his M.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Virginia.
