Biography
Dr. Williams is Professor of Neurology in the Indiana University School of Medicine and a Staff Physician in the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, where she served as Chief of Neurology from 2005 to 2009. As a neurology health services researcher in the IU Center for Health Services and Outcomes Research and Regenstrief Institute's William M. Tierney Center for Health Services Research, she is working to implement evidence to improve stroke care and outcomes.
Research Interest
Dr. Williams’ research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with stroke. Her primary research interests include investigating the impact of post-stroke depression, conducting effectiveness trials to improve stroke outcomes, and implementing best evidence to systematically improve the quality of stroke care.
