Biography
Dr. Imler received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his internal medicine residency, served as Chief Resident, and completed a GI fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine.He completed a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from Indiana University and a Medical Informatics fellowship through the Regenstrief Institute. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He serves as the Director of the Data Core at the Regenstrief Institute.Recently, Dr. Imler received his certification in the subspecialty of Clinical Informatics.
Research Interest
His clinical interests are general gastroenterology, colorectal cancer screening and surveillance, and quality improvement in endoscopy. Dr. Imler’s research interests are in combining medical informatics tools within Gastroenterology to improve patient outcomes.
