Biography

Mr. Luke M. Beshar, CPA, served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since November 20, 2007 and January 1, 2012 respectively. Mr. Beshar has 35 years of general and financial management experience. He served as a Senior Vice President of NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from November 20, 2007 to January 1, 2012. He identified and evaluated strategic and corporate development opportunities, lead investor relations, assist in the establishment of the new line of credit, oversee transition services provided to the buyers of the divested businesses and direct other special projects. He served as Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Netexit, Inc. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Cambrex Corporation from December 5, 2002 to November 2007, its Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy from February 9, 2007 to October 1, 2007, its Senior Vice President since December 5, 2002, its Executive Vice President since January 2004 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. From January 2002 to December 2002, Mr. Beshar served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cegedim Inc. He served as an Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Expanets, Inc., from November 1998 to January 2002 and as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PNY Technologies, Inc., from 1996 to 1998. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Dendrite International, WSR Corporation, The Genlyte Group, Inc. and Bairnco Corporation. He was instrumental in upgrading the corporate and business unit financial staffs and successfully completing a number of other key initiatives. He directed the evaluation of strategic alternatives, a yearlong, corporate-wide effort resulting in the recent sale of the Bioproducts and Biopharma businesses. Mr. Beshar has been an Independent Director of Trillium Therapeutics Inc., since March 10, 2014, Regenxbio Inc. since April 25, 2015 and PNY Technologies, Inc. since December 31, 2003. He is a Member of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has a BA in Accounting and Finance from Michigan State University and is a graduate of the Executive Program of the Darden Graduate Business School at the University of Virginia.
