Biography
Mack Joyner is currently a Lecturer and Director of the Professional Master’s program in the Department of Computer Science. Originally from Kansas City, Joyner completed three degrees in CS at Rice: BS (2002), MS (2005), and PhD (2008). He remained in Houston as a software engineer for Texas Instruments after completing his PhD. Once established in his industry career, he taught introductory courses part-time in the CS departments at Rice and Texas Southern University before taking on a full-time position at Rice in 2016.
