Biography
Mark Moll is a senior research scientist in the Computer Science Department at Rice University. His research contributions are in applied algorithms for problems in robotics (robot motion planning, integrated task and motion planning, self-reconfigurable robots, tactile sensing, parts orienting), computational structural biology (conformational search), and biomedical informatics (large-scale functional annotation of proteins). He is also leading the development of the Open Motion Planning Library, which is widely used in industry and academic research.
