Biography
Diane Droutman became a full-time faculty member at Rivier in fall of 2009. Diane graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. in 1988 with a BSN in Nursing. After graduation, she began her nursing career at a large medical center in Boston, on an Orthopedic/Medical Surgical Unit. She continued her nursing career in a variety of settings, including mental health with young adults and adolescents focusing on eating disorders, and then geriatrics as a Nurse Manager on a skilled unit, and nursing supervisor of a 300-bed facility for 10 years. Diane’s role as supervisor included precepting new employees and educating staff. She enjoyed teaching and accepted a position at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Nashua in 2003. Diane completed a master's in nursing specializing in education from University of Phoenix in 2008. As a clinical instructor, she is able to draw from her many years of experience to help educate future nurses.
