Biography
Dr. David Jamison is an expert in Biomedical Engineering with experience in orthopedics, tissue injury and degeneration, and computational modeling. His practice focuses on orthopedic and musculoskeletal biomechanics with respect to injuries related to vehicle crashes, slip-and-falls, and workplace and recreational injuries. Dr. Jamison earned a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University. He is a visiting assistant professor at Villanova University in the department of Mechanical Engineering. He has received multiple grants for innovation in engineering education. Dr. Jamison has published peer-reviewed research in the Journal of Biomechanical Engineering and authored a book chapter on orthopedic biomechanics. He has presented his research internationally, including conferences for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Orthopaedic Research Society, and the Society for Biomaterials. He is an active member of several professional societies including the Orthopaedic Research Society and American Society for Engineering Education, and has served on regional and national executive boards for the National Society of Black Engineers.
