James A. Waldvogel

Biography

Jim spent 17 years with Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems where he was a materials engineer. He worked on projects like the MK-92 Weapons System, the Trident Submarine Navigation Systems, and NEXRAD. His responsibilities included metallic material selection, metallurgical failure analyses of structural members, electronic components, welds, solder joints, etc. For the past ten years he’s been president of his own company, providing metallurgical consulting for a wide variety of commercial and military programs and companies.Jim is an AWS Certified Welding inspector, and he’s a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials and the American Society for Metals.
