Biography
RN, CDONA Pat Avila has over 40 years of experience in healthcare. For as long as she can remember she wanted to be a nurse and started taking care of people at a very young age. While attending high school she worked as both a dietary aide and a C.N.A and then went on to earn her LPN, RN and BA in Healthcare Administration. Pat’s a certified Director of Nursing in Long-Term care and has been a member of NADONA since its inception. With a background in both acute and long-term care, Pat believes that advocating for our elderly and ensuring that they have the best quality of life is one of the most important things she can do. She joined the Royal Health Group team in 2013 after watching Jim Mamary build a company built on the values that were important to her – to treat residents and their families like her own – with respect, dignity and love.In her role, Pat oversees the clinical operations of our facilities to ensure the highest quality and the integrity of our services and operations. Pat has 2 children who both grew up running around nursing homes and who now also have a passion to ensure our elders are treated with respect and dignity. She loves photography and knitting and is happiest at home in Falmouth surrounded by her kids, grand-kids, partner and their many, many dogs.
