Biography
Jim Gibson is executive vice president and chief operating officer, responsible for helping to drive strategy and operational excellence for RTI's domestic and international-based businesses. He oversees the leadership of RTI’s Health Solutions, and Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences Groups, as well as Corporate Facilities Strategic Services and RTIs International Regional Offices. Jim also leads RTI’s focus on University Collaborations. He is responsible for developing long-range plans and supporting investments for RTI. Gibson joined RTI as chief financial officer in 2000 and served as executive vice president of the Engineering and Technology Unit 2009 to 2013 and as interim leader of Discovery and Analytical Sciences. In addition to his active participation in many professional associations, he is an advisory board member of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and a board member of the United Way of the Greater Triangle.
